Beetroot hummus

Hummus: The ultimate culinary chameleon! Every scoop is an invitation to explore your culinary creativity. Make it however you like, this Mediterranean dish is super versatile and can be paired with almost anything!

Ingredients:

For the Hummus
300 grams of canned or boiled chickpeas
1 boiled beetroot
2 tsp tahini
2 ice cubes
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp lemon juice
Salt
Pepper
50 ml olive oil
20 ml water

For the toppings
Olive oil
Chives
Toasted sesame seeds
Crumbled cottage cheese

Method:

Put all the ingredients mentioned above in a blender jar and blend until smooth. Don’t add too much water or the hummus will become runny. You’ll want a smooth, paste like consistency. Adding icecubes will help improve the texture of the hummus.

Spread the hummus on a plate, top with olive oil, chives, toasted pepper seeds, crumbled cottage cheese and cracked pepper. Serve with toasted whole wheat sourdough bread and enjoy!
